Camping Season's Smoky Double Cheese Burger pays homage to our Smoky Spice Rub and is a new favourite! Homemade with minced beef  and topped with mature cheese slices grilled onions and pickles. Bloody easy to make and it's ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

500g Beef Mince

1/2 white Onion

2 cheese slices per burger

Dill Pickle

4 Brioche Buns

3-4 large dollops of Mayonnaise

3-4 tsp of Camping Season's Smoky Spice Rub

Vegetable Oil

Method

Step 1- To form your beef patties, grab a bowl add your mince and 1-2 tsp of Camping Season's Smoky Spice Rub. Mix into a large ball incorporating the seasonings and then make them into smaller balls (a bit larger than a golf ball). Leave to rest while you cut your onions and make your sauce.

Step 2- Grab a bowl and squirt some mayo down, then add Camping Season's Smoky Spice Rub and mix it well. set aside

Step 3- Cut half an onion lengthways as thin as you can. Slice your gherkins if they are whole.

Step 4Heat a skillet on a hot flame and when hot enough but your brioche halves down to toast. Once they are done, remove them and add veggie oil and let it heat.

Step 5- Now your oil is hot, flatten your pattie balls with a press and top with sliced onions. Put them in a skillet onion side down and let them sizzle away for 2-3 minutes. (this will grill your onions super quick!)

Step 6- Flip your burgers and top with cheese slices and let them cook or a further 2-3 minutes.

Step 7- Spread your smoky mayo on both insides of your bun and layer one pattie on top of the other, add your gherkin slices and a touch more smoky mayo!

Final Step- Eat whilst it hot!!
