Dip crusty bread or chips into a pot of warm, velvety cheese infused with the rich flavours of your favourite beer. A dish that creates a communal and utterly satisfying experience that will have everyone reaching for seconds. Our Smoky Spice Rub uplifts this dish providing a smoky flavour that works superbly with mature cheese and beer!

Ingredients

200g grated mature cheddar

165g cream cheese

3 garlic cloves minced

1 tbsp Camping Season’s Smoky Spice Rub

1 cup of beer (we use Adnams Broadside)

1 tsp dijon mustard

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 handful of chopped chives to top

1 crusty white bloomer loaf (feel free to choose your favourite bread)

If you haven’t got our spice rub include:

1 tbsp smoked paprika

1-2 tsp oregano

1-2 tsp dried chilli flakes

Method

Step 1: Melt the cream cheese with minced garlic and 1 tbsp Camping Season’s Spice Rub over a medium heat in a pan for 1 minute..

Step 2: Add your beer a little at a time, stir until smooth. Add in the dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce, and continue to cook over a medium heat for 3 minutes.

Step 3: Reduce the heat to low and add in your mature cheddar, stir until melted and the sauce is smooth. 3-5 minutes. Top with chopped chives!

Step 4: Serve with bread, pretzels or chips. We love tearing off hunks of bread, throwing a few chips in and then dunking it into the drunken cheese!

Simple but delicious. Enjoy!!
